The 2025 JUNO Awards in Vancouver were an extraordinary celebration, drawing a sold-out crowd to Rogers Arena and showcasing the vibrant Canadian music scene. Sequoia was deeply honoured to contribute to this iconic event, proudly supporting the Canadian music legacy through our partnership with Music Canada.

As longtime passionate fans of Canadian music and sports, our team grew up inspired by legendary acts such as The Tragically Hip, Rush, Barenaked Ladies, Céline Dion, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, Drake, Sarah McLaughlin, Blue Rodeo, Sum41, The Biebs, etc. Working on the JUNO Awards was a deeply personal tribute to the artists who’ve shaped our cultural landscape and a chance to celebrate the new voices continuing this legacy.

Contracted by Music Canada, Sequoia managed the construction and on-site installation of a massive 12-foot by 24-foot display wall featuring 50 iconic Gold and Platinum-certified plaques—one for each year of Music Canada’s renowned certification program. The logistical complexity of coordinating this installation was matched only by our team’s enthusiasm and commitment to honouring Canadian music history.

The event itself was a tremendous success, highlighted by standout performances and major awards. Tate McRae dominated the night, winning four awards, including Album of the Year for “Think Later” and Single of the Year for “exes.” Other notable winners included Nemahsis (Breakthrough Artist), Lowell (Songwriter of the Year), Anne Murray (Lifetime Achievement Award), and Sum 41 (Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees).

Behind the glamour, producing an event of this scale requires meticulous planning, extensive coordination, and months of preparation. Our Sequoia team was thrilled to collaborate with Music Canada and dedicated sponsors such as TD Bank Group, SiriusXM Canada, TikTok Canada, and Nissan Canada, whose collective support helped bring the JUNO Awards vision to life.
