Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in drafting, technical detailing, and construction documentation for trade show exhibits, displays, and custom millwork fabrication projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in CAD software, and the ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for custom tradeshow exhibits and displays.
- Interpret and refine design concepts into precise fabrication drawings.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to create precise drawings and layouts.
- Generate material and hardware lists to support procurement and production planning.
- Ensure drawings comply with fabrication, structural, and safety standards.
- Work within project timelines to deliver high-quality detailing and documentation.
- Assist in resolving technical issues during production and installation.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a detailer, draftsman, or CAD technician in a trade show, exhibit, millwork, or custom fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, or other 3D modeling tools).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, joinery methods, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, floor plans, and elevations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and fabrication processes is a plus.
